Event Operations Assistant
The Event Operations Assistant is an entry-level position responsible for providing operations and logistical support for events at the Ipswich Turf Club. The position includes work as a food and beverage attendant, cellar duties and can include gaming and TAB betting facility work. The position will at times involve heavy lifting and manual labour.
The position is casual, and hours will vary throughout the year depending on the calendar of events for the Ipswich Turf Club. The successful applicant will be required to work up to 38 hours per week in the four weeks leading into the Ipswich Cup event, and the two weeks following. Throughout the rest of the year, hours could range from 5-20 hours per week, depending on function season and bookings.

The Ipswich Turf Club is looking for passionate people to join our food and beverage team!
We have opportunities available for people interested in bar service & operations, food & wait service and kitchenhand duties.

Role specific minimum requirements are outlined in the table below:

Food and beverage staff work each race day (traditional one race day conducted mid-week) and at times where functions are held at the club (traditionally Friday and Saturday evenings).
Employment is on casual basis with estimated hours per week ranging between 5-15 hours per week. Pay rate will be at Hospitality Industry General Award levels.
