Ipswich racing opens its gates

The Ipswich Turf Club will open the gates to the public for the first time since October this weekend.

Hosting the Saturday metropolitan meeting including the Listed Eye Liner Stakes and Listed Gai Waterhouse Classic, the Club will host up to 1500 patrons under Covid restrictions.

Members and race day owners can pre-register their attendance and purchase a hospitality package for $35 per person. Tickets are allocated on a first in, first served until all tickets are allocated. 

The hospitality package includes:

  • Three (3) drinks (Great Northern Original and Crisp, Carlton Draught, Sirromet Piccolo sparkling, white and red and soft drinks)
  • One food platter per person (Southern fried chicken, beef slider, hot chips and salad)


Further food and beverages will be available for purchase on the day.

Pre-registered Members will for the first time have access to the new Grange Lounge overlooking the horse parade.

There is an opportunity for 100 patrons to pre-register in the Eye Liner Lounge with preference for owners following acceptances for the meeting on Wednesday. All owners may attend on the day however, they will be accommodated with the general public on the Viewing Terrace.

The general public and those patrons who have not pre-registered are able to attend but limited to the outside areas.
